Network setup

How much does network setup cost?

Service fees start at $149 for a Suite and $399 for a Home setup, plus hardware at cost with the receipt. The consultation is free. Founding members get 35% off the service fee, and veterans and active duty service members always get 15% off. Discounts don't stack, so you get whichever is bigger. See every package.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You pay once for setup and once for the hardware at cost. If you want help later, you pay for that visit only.

Can you see what we do online?

No. Your dashboard runs on your own equipment and nothing is sent to us. We don't keep remote access. If you want help later, you let us in for that visit.

Will this make my Wi-Fi faster?

No, and we won't claim it will. This is about separation and control. If a room has weak Wi-Fi, an add-on access point extends coverage.

Does this make us unhackable?

Nothing does. Separation reduces your exposure: an untrusted or compromised device can't reach everything else on your network.

Can my kids get around the filter?

On your network, common tricks like changing DNS settings are blocked. A phone on cellular data or a VPN app isn't on your network, so the filter can't reach it.

What equipment do you use?

For homes and businesses: a small firewall computer running OPNsense, plus a UniFi switch and access point. For suites: a single UniFi device. You buy it at cost and own it outright.

Can I reach my network when I'm away?

Yes, if you want it. We can set up Tailscale or Twingate, and both have free plans for small setups. The account is in your name, so the access is yours, not ours.

Can you set up a game server or a server for work software?

Yes. A Minecraft server for the kids, a server for tax software like Drake, or something else you need. Custom work takes more planning, costs more and can take longer to get running, so we quote it separately after we talk it through.

Can I use equipment I already have?

Sometimes. If it can run separate networks with firewall rules between them, we can often work with it. We'll tell you at the consultation.

Do you run cable or install jacks?

No. Equipment goes where your connection already is. For new wiring, an electrician or low-voltage installer is the right call.

Do I need to be there for the install?

Yes. Most of the setup happens beforehand, so the visit is usually one to two hours, including a walkthrough.

What if something breaks?

Setup has a 30-day workmanship guarantee: if it doesn't work as delivered, we fix it free. Hardware carries its manufacturer warranty, and paid visits are available anytime.

How do updates work?

We test each update on our own equipment first, then post a dated video guide. Follow it yourself for free, or book an update visit.

Websites

How much does a website cost?

One-page sites run $300 to $600, business sites with 3 to 6 pages run $700 to $1,500, and custom builds with booking, logins or a database start at $2,500. Prices may vary with the work involved, so you get a written quote after a free consultation. Veterans and active duty service members get 15% off. See website pricing.

Is there a monthly fee for a website?

Only if you want one. With a Handoff you pay nothing ongoing to us. Most sites are hosted free on Cloudflare, and you pay for your domain name once a year, usually $10 to $20, in your name. If you'd like us to look after your site, Site Care is $59 to $69 a month and Server Care starts at $149 to $169 a month, depending on whether you choose 12 months, 6 months or month to month. All of them are paid monthly. See the options.

Do you only build websites for businesses near Wichita?

No. Network setup is hands-on, so it stays in the Wichita area, but websites can be built for any business, anywhere. Consultations and drafts happen over a video call and a private link.

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain, hosting and every login are in your name. If you ever want someone else to take it over, everything goes with you.

Can you set up the database and servers behind my site?

Yes. For custom builds we set up the database, hosting and any servers the site needs, in accounts that are in your name. Your quote spells out what we set up, what any of it costs per month, and who looks after it once it's live.

Can my site take bookings or payments?

Yes. We can link to the booking tool you already use, or build booking into your site as a custom build. Payments go through Stripe in your name. We never handle card details.

Can you redo the website I already have?

Yes. At the consultation we'll look at what you have now, what's working and what you're paying for it, and tell you what a rebuild would take.

What if I need changes after launch?

With a Handoff, you get a guide and videos to make changes yourself, or you can reach out and get a quote for that job. With a care agreement, small monthly updates are included.

If I cancel a care agreement, do I lose my site?

No. Your site, domain, hosting and logins were in your name from the start. Month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice. If you end a 6- or 12-month agreement early, we bill the months you used at the month-to-month rate. Either way, we hand you an updated guide so you can take it from there.

General

What area do you serve?

Wichita, Andover, Rose Hill, Derby and Haysville are included in every network package. Farther out, we're happy to travel for a per-mile fee, quoted up front before you book.

Do you offer a veteran discount?

Yes. Veterans and active duty service members get 15% off network setup service fees and websites. Bring proof of service to your consultation.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. We talk through what you need and you get a written quote. Nothing is owed until you approve it.

Have a project in mind?

Network setup or a website, the consultation is free. Tell us what you need and you'll get a written quote.
